Last Seen A Long Time Ago: A Documentary Monologue

An intimate multimedia performance by Iranian artist Adib Ghorbani blending theater, storytelling, live music, and documentary performance. Built from real letters exchanged between two lovers separated by borders during wartime, the piece follows the voices of an immigrant in exile and an anonymous actress in Iran navigating memory, patriarchy, distance, and survival.

Carried through live songs, spoken word, and experimental performance, the work reflects the emotional realities of contemporary Iranian life both inside the country and across the diaspora where music becomes connection, resistance, and a way to preserve voices across silence.
